A nurturing space for parents to heal, grow, and THRIVE. Together, we’ll create a safe space for you to explore the harder parts of your journey to parenthood without judgement. Through yoga, writing, art, and breathwork, we will seek to access a sense of community with each other and a sense of inner-peace within ourselves. Don’t just survive – THRIVE. Together, we’ll create a safe space for you to explore your disenfranchised grief using mindfulness, self-care, and connection. Take a deep breath and emerge from the retreat with new tools for navigating the challenges of parenthood. Join us for a day of nurturing and renewal with yoga, art, and practical tools to help you thrive in your new role. Facilitated by Marie Gorman, LCSW, PMH-C, RYT200 & Emily Likins-Ehlers, Trauma Informed Doula. Together, Emily and Marie form a dynamic duo, combining their expertise to offer a holistic approach to childbirth and mental health, which is crucial for those navigating the often challenging landscape of becoming a parent. Emily and Marie strive to create a safe space for learning, healing, and connection. They invite participants to engage in open discussions, share their stories, and learn coping strategies that can help them navigate their journeys with confidence and clarity. Suite 204 Winfield, IL Parking is free. ------ Itinerary 9:00- Welcome Ceremony and Introductions 9:30- Trauma Informed Yoga Session 10:30- Facilitated Peer Support Group 11:30- Arts & Crafts 12:30- Lunch is offered 1:00- Birth Story Writing Workshop 2:00- Breathwork Lesson 2:30- Closing Ceremony 3:00- Good-byes ------ Our community provides a safe haven where individuals can share their stories and connect with others who have faced similar struggles. We facilitate discussions around grief, hope, and the complexities of building a family, helping participants to find solace in shared experiences and fostering a sense of belonging. Nursing babies are welcome, but participants are encouraged to arrange childcare for the event so they can focus on themselves. FAQ: Q: My baby is a Big Kid now, can I still attend? A: Yes!
