Join us for a Metamorphosis Meetup! Explore the outdoors with your little ones -- in a supportive environment. Celebrate the autumn equinox with a forest bath & some nature play! Join us Saturday September 20, 2025 at Waterfall Glen in Lemont, IL for a short walk in the woods & a gentle guided activity by the waterfall. 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM We will meet at the ‘Waterfall Parking Lot’ off Bluff Road and walk together to view the waterfall. Approx .04 miles each way The path is crushed limestone with no incline Strollers and wagons OK, but they may get dusty! Baby carriers are a great option and we will keep a slow pace to accommodate small adventurers. Siblings, partners, grandparents, doulas, etc. are welcome! Postpartum is forever! all are welcome Once we arrive at the waterfall we will relax and commune while the children play. You will also be invited to do a short guided activity. Together, we will consider some of the themes of Mabon, a modern Welsh tradition celebrating the autumn equinox. We will celebrate all things harvest, spend some time enjoying Mother Nature’s playground & soak up the last bit of warm weather together. We will return to the parking lot as a group around 11:30 but families are welcome to stay longer or leave early! Wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather. If there is thunder or lightning that morning the event will be canceled for safety. If air quality readings are above 100 AQI the event will be canceled for safety.
