Testimonials

Emily is amazing. She truly cares about her clients and their well-being and makes them the number one priority. She advocates for both parent and child, supports, educates, and overall wants what’s best for everyone. Having a knowledgeable and supportive person to be there at one of the most vulnerable times in your life is extremely important and she checks every box of what it means to be a great doula.

Emily was open to speak with me virtually and provided unbiased support, and had understanding of my PTSD/ mental health conditions. I feel that my particular anxieties can be unique (vomit phobia along with PTSD) but Emily never questioned me. I’m also a sexual assault + birth trauma survivor. My pregnancy and abortion triggered everything in me. Emily was nothing but supportive and always listened. I also did the abortion reflective journaling when I felt ready, after my abortion. 100% would recommend just to process the entire experience + more! Thank you, Emily.

The delivery of our first born was very traumatic, extremely long, and had a lot of scary moments. Needless to say, I was more than wanting an entirely different experience for our second child. Emily provided the comfort, knowledge, patience, experience, and information I was desperately seeking. She has a very gentle approach but is matter-of-fact in educating you on birthing plans along with what to expect in a variety of situations...In what can quickly become a very intense and stressful situation, Emily is the calm that expectant moms should seek for guidance and patient care. I am utterly grateful for Emily whom singlehandedly made my second childbirth experience completely different.

Emily shared so much knowledge with me over the course of my pregnancy, as well as after the birth. I had a few scary complications along the way, but she was always there with information and articles to ease my mind and get me prepared, comforting words to help me through it, tips and tricks to make things easier, all-natural oils and rubs to help with prep and pain, and a whole bunch of advice that was endlessly helpful. When I was at my lowest point, she was there. When I was scared and needed help, she was there. When I was on my post-baby "everything is wonderful" high, she was there to make sure that I was healing correctly and asking so many questions to make sure that everything was going right. She even has advice for partners!

Emily is well-versed on all pregnancy options, and knows how to tackle — or gently guide you — through difficult times. She’s LGBTQIA+ inclusive as well, which can be hard to find!!

Emily is extremely knowledgeable, patient and great at explaining in detail all the questions I had. I would highly recommend her to all of my friends! This is my first pregnancy and I am glad to have a doula like Emily to help guide me along the way, each step of the way.

"Emily was there for me when I had no one else to talk to about my need for an abortion. She guided me through the different options in the procedures to places I could go to have the procedure done. She patiently and effectively answered all my questions and was a source of support when I had very little. If it weren’t for her I would not have known the local clinic was available to me and I truly believe that was the best decision I made throughout the process. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!"
